This is not magic nor rocket science... have your tech look at the files and code from a backup copy of the site (you are making backups, aren't you?) and compare what was there a month ago with what is there now and fix it. It is possible that someone hacked the site and deleted files or altering some and screwed it up. It is also possible that someone in your organization deliberately (maybe not maliciously, but as part of a clean up or problem resolution) modified some files. Just put it back the way it was and we will all be happy.

thanks Lee,
yes, the storage quota is likely part of the issue, but its only 1/3 of the issue, and the smallest concern of the issues.

1. The previous upload interface at: http://1stclass.mylargescale.com/
has disappeared. Thats how most people log-in to access their storage space. We can use FTP, but FTP is clunky and annoying. We really need that web interface restored.

2. There has apparently been a storage quota issue. Several us were allowed to go over the "official" 100 MEG storage limit in the past, and it wasnt a problem that we were over the limit, and we could still upload and manage our files. Now we have to be under 100 MEG before we can upload new files. That, by itself, isnt a major problem, since our limit has always been 100 MEG...but only those that have used FTP can get into our storage to delete some files, if we are over.

3. The biggest problem. Members who's usernames begin with the letters T through Z have had ALL their files disappear..Their files no longer exist, and need to be restored from backup. A test was done where someone logged into an account of a username in that T to Z range, and the directory was in fact completely empty. He was able to do a test upload to the empty directory, which did work.

So, to summarize:
1. We need http://1stclass.mylargescale.com/ interface back.

2. Quota does now apparently need be under 100MEG. (if that could be boosted to say, 125 MEG, no one would need to delete any files.)

3. Usernames T through Z have lost all their files, and need them restored.

Scot

Yes, can we get the Web Interface working first please. That should be the easiest fix. Then restore files for T-Z from the latest backup that has them. Then figure out the quota issue?

Thanks,
Jim

Or Amin. call Shad. Just joking.
Paul,
When Shad was the owner of MLS and the ONE keeping this site running, I believe he felt that he "owed" it to us to keep this "family" together.

Under the "stewardship" of this NEW owner, we are a very small cog in a very large wheel. There is really no priority to get this thing fixed. Frankly, there are quite a few members on this site that could have this fixed very quickly. I think the trouble started many months ago when we were all told to "reset" our passwords because of the so-called breach.

In other words, "Don't hold your breath". :)

Hey guys,

I understand your frustration, and your concern about the issues not being tackled in a timely fashion.
Please understand we have many sites that we watch over, we do not tackle tickets in a "priority" fashion. It's first in first out. And the Tech team is working on this issue, and looking into it as quickly as they can.

Your patience and concern is greatly appreciated.

Richard.

The problem is that apparently this is the third time the ticket has been bumped, some of us can't to a dam thing not just on this site but on any of the other sites we also frequent. I haven't been able to help several others on several threads because all my history in pictures have been lost. Its getting on a month now and I am having to look the prospect of recreating my photo hosting on another location because I am not willing to just sit around for six months twiddling my thumbs waiting for the techs here to finally get around to resolving this.

Keep in mind to date I have no guaranty that any of my photos are even recoverable. From my perspective, its very likely that while the access issue for those listed from A to S will be resolved and access restored, the fact that no hide nor hair of T to Z files has been found, gives me little hope that I will ever see my photos again and the longer this goes unresolved the less hope and patience I have.

What am I supposed to do in the meantime?

I apologize for the frustration this has caused.
As mentioned, the ticket was bumped by Dayle, and escalated with all of the information that has been conveyed yet again. I cannot give you a time frame as we have many tickets and tackle them as they come in.

Your patience is greatly appreciated.

Richard.

It shouldn't take a MONTH to fix this. If this was a site I required in order to do my business on, and I couldn't do that business because someone is taking their own jolly sweet time to get around to fixing it and it was hurting my $$ bottom line, I would take my business and my patronage to somewhere else that gave a god **** about my business. This is unprofessional and I'm at my patience end.

"Your patience is greatly appreciated"

I have no patience, I'm stuck with your incompetence!
You did make a back up before deleting, didn't you?

Not only is my storage space MIA, those pics have been stripped from my threads making them frustrating to read.
Wow way to go.
