Hi Folks, I am new to this group and I am looking for a bit of advice. I have been collecting G scale trains since my friends gave me a gift certificate to a combination aircraft parts and model trains store on my 40th birthday. That was almost 40 years ago and I sold my airplane but I am still having fun with the trains. While I do have a modest collection of rolling stock and track, I do not have a full time dedicated layout. I tend to set up a temporary layout that runs through my house or on my deck. Most of my stuff is LGB, Aristocraft, or USA Trains. I have around thirty engines of various types and a good variety of passenger and frieght cars. My question to the group is about power supplies. I stiil run track power analog and I will probably stay with that. I like long track patterns that wind around things. I have a few transformers with the largest at 3 amps. From what I have been reading, it looks like I should upgrade to something bit larger. I normally run one train at a time and I do not have powered accessories. What should I consider for a set up with say 75 feet or so of track? Thanks for the advice.
