Testing all my locos and next issue problem is.

My
LGB 21900 DUO-Diesel is not uncoupling. The orange/yellow light and the red light externally on the cab roof don't light either NOR does the cab light illuminate at all when the loco is running.

Also despite what the user manual says this loco does NOT have a 0-1-2 switch in the cab

Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

thanks

Is there a slot for the cab switch? The switch is part of the circuit board. Perhaps someone removed the board. Mine works great, but it is very sensitive to pure DC voltage change to go to uncouple mode. I have never tried this loco on pulsed power and it may not work on pulsed power. Hopefully someone running pulsed power can respond to this question.

Update

WELL where to start.

First the cab was not held on by the two screws into the main chassis and was only being held on by the engine cover.

NO switch but a slot for the switch covered up by some double sided sticky tape.

Getting the top off was easy only two screws holding the front engine cover one , rotate that up and the cab came with it.

UNDERNEATH was a RATS NEST of wires and boards.

Seems we have a Lenz LE230 DCC controller on board.

Looks like this was not a professional install as it all looks like a dogs breakfast.

OWELL :-(

More info

After digging deeper it looks like the uncoupling may/will work on a DDC system

It looks like the wee board at the front sitting on multi-layers of double sided sticky tape is a Lenz Function module LF200

DIGITAL plus with 3 isolated function relays outputs are isolated from decoder function inputs Used to interface decoders with sound systems, lighting, signals, switch
machines or other on/off devices that require more current than the decoder
can supply

Each function relay operates a maximum load of 1A

All connections are designed as screw terminals

Compatible with NMRA DCC decoders of all brands.
