Greetings from New Zealand.

The Wellington Garden Railway Group was formed about four years ago with five or six individual members. Current membership is around 30 families. Group running days are held on te first Sunday following the first Wednesday of each month.

On the first Wednesday of each month the local hobby shop hosts an evening for garden railroaders to meet and talk. He also gives a 10% discount off any purchases.

There are about 20 operating garden railways which are visited in turn.

The Wellington Group have hosted two successful Garden Railway Conventions, one in 2007 and one in 2008. In March 2009 the Auckland G Scale Group will be hosting the third Garden Railway Convention.
