My first real attempt at a mostly scratchbuilt, proto-lanced Water Tank is complete. I waited for the new post editor to show all and to say "thanks" to those that offered help and advice. Check it out...

All lumber is cut to scale Western Red Cedar. An HP spout and band kit was used. Bands are blackened brass as is chain, counterweights, etc.. Roofing is cedar shakes. Top finial is a turned down brass lamp finial, then blackened. Post nails are track spikes. Purposely left cedar to weather naturally. Left out frostbox also.
All-in-all, a good learning project that (I think) turned out well!
Next up - a coal tipple.
Thanks again!
