These are great memorys of the past.. My first train was when I was only 1 yr old ( 1936 ) and Dad set up tracks from then on at Xmas's. MARRY CHRISTMAS...noel

Lownote: Great pic!

Those likely are very VERY OLD Bing or Ives model trains, Gauge 3 from the looks of the track, probably very very early electric models as the motors tended to be huge hand made units, but they could also be clockwork. I doubt there live steam as the pistons appear too small.
I have one like this of my father, taken around 1945 or so......
