Hi All
I recently found a handy online "circle calculator" at http://www.1728.com/circsect.htm . It is a very convenient way to answer the age old track planning question 'Will my train fit?' Specifically it calculates the length of a part of a circle - an arc, if you only have two facss such as track radius and size of the circle being expressed as degrees (eg 1/4 circle = 45 degrees). It also calculates the length of an arc (the amount of space you can park your train) using a chord and segment height (handy for working around trees, etc.).
