Evenin', All - We were running Dzhon's newly completed Br38 yesterday afternoom on my little track - and what a gem it is, too, and then got the urge to run my Br01 in sympathy.
This 27-year-old former glass-case dweller, only brought to life less than two years ago, has always been a stalwart runner, and yesterday was no exception - hauling eight Maerklin cars without seeming to notice a thing for almost an hour.
On shutting down and cleaning up, though, I noticed that the O-rings around the safety valves were looking a mite tired, with small cracks developing, so I called up Mr Aster here in UK and asked him if he had any to spare, since the weather is improving to the point where I like to run steam most every day.
They came in this morning's mail.
What could possibly be better service that that?
Thank you, Andrew.
Now, if only I was rich............
