Tonight Wichita missed the worst of the storm. Just a few miles away there were 82mph straight winds and tornados on the ground. We got some wind, heavy rain for a short bit, and too much lightning [lights flickered].

The RR suffered from the winds.


Townspeople got out and tried to clean up the tree debris.


The MOW crews got out as soon as possible.


Otherwise, all is OK. I hope the friends in north Central KS [Steve Stockham], Nebraskans [Marty, Bubba, and all the guys up there] are as untouched as I was.

Looks like the little people were hard at it. I am wondering, though, why the train consist was not parked out of harms way as opposed to being caught out in the open like that
