It's the most wonderful time of the year!!

Next Weekend on October 4th and 5th Steam comes alive at the B&O Museum in Baltimore. Come ride behind St Elizabeth's Hospital #4, the last steam engine built by Porter for domestic use. See the William Mason (1856) the oldest operating steam engine in the Western Hemisphere and the 2nd oldest operating steam engine in the world!

I will most likely be switching off between running and firing the Mason most of the weekend possibly taking a turn at the shovel or throttle on the #4 on Sunday. So come on down to Baltimore and check out some steam!

For those going to Steam Days at the B&O Museum, there is another rare railroad related event going on 35 miles south in Washington, DC.

This is an unofficial list I pulled off a post:
C&O F3 8016
B&O GP9 6604
C&O Gadsby Tavern
C&O Chessie Club
Southern RPO 36
Southern E8 6900
ACL E3 501
PRR GG1 4935
PRR E8 5711
PRR E8 5809
PRR 120
Little Juniata Rapids
Warrior Ridge
Greenwich Harbor
Cannon Ball
MARC bi-level
Amfleet Cafe
Viewliner Sleeper
Superliner Transition Sleeper
Superliner Diner-Lounge
Superliner Sleeper

Probably the last time a GG1 or E8 was in Washington, Union Station was back in the late 70s and early 80s...
