no good there either.
OH WELL, I Like embeding them from my MLS SPACE ANYWAY
MLS WEB SPACE
I have four desktops here in tallahassee (Win 3.11, win 98, XP and a NT SERVER.
I have and another two in alabama VISTA and XP
I also have three sony laptops. win 95, win 98 and VISTA, (Im using the vista laptop now)
WHEN POSTING in alabama I'm usually using a new machine every week or so. I do not load office, or any utilities like FTP on any of my computers, except two of my desktops. one in fla and one in alabama
I had 100 mb of storage on MLS that I accessed verynicely via internet explorer, I could do it very eaisly
all I had to do was create a shortcut on my windows IE LINKS line to MLS. I do that just by draging the address onto the links bar.
then, I edit the link so it reads as follows:
[url="ftp://bobgrosh%40gold.mylargescale.com/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/mls/emoticons/
/
including the ""%40" and "@" exactly as shown, but I use my password in place of "PASSWORD"
After editing the link I change one setting in IE options to allow FTP (check the box)
Now to edit, rename, deletate aor add files or entire directories all I had to do was open IE cand click on the ftp link. I could not only rename or deleate entire directories all their sub directories and file, but I could drab and drop files or entire directories to or from my local machine.
I've been doing it like that for years, not only to my bobgrodh space but also to my deadhaead space when it was seperate from the bobgrosh space.
IT MUST HAVE WORKED QUITE WELL AS I FILLED UB BOTH MY FIRST CLASS SPACES.
NOW last week FTP quit working.
IT Will just not let me log into my ftp spACE
Not on THIS MACHINE ,
Not on My 98 lpatop, or my three desktops. I even dug out a machine in the garage that had not been used in a year, clicked the FTP link, no good
I also find it handy on some machines to map a drive letter (M

to the ftp site. That no longer works either.
