Does anyone know if the generic Revo Diesel sound receiver can handle two speakers [8 ohm ea.]? If so, should they be connected parallel, series, or other?
Thanks,
JimC.

I don't know the audio rating of the revolution.

whatever it is, probably good to follow.

so if you connect 2 identical speakers in parallel, the resulting impedance is one half the impedance of a single speaker... in some cases this may damage the output amplifier ) by drawing double the normal current.

2 speakers in series will double the impedance, normally resulting in not only 1/2 the current drawn but less overall sound pressure level.

So if you want 2 speakers and the amp is rated for 8 ohms, buy two 4 ohm speakers and put them in series.

Or 2 16 ohm in parallel.
I believe the speakers Aristo included in the engines was 8 ohm so I would stick with 8 ohm for speaker output of the revo.
