I received my replacement cylinders from Royce yesterday for my Accucraft " Mimi" and have them installed. They are a huge improvement over the original ones. If you have a Ruby or other engine from this series , I would suggest you consider getting the replacements . They fit perfectly and took me about 2 hours to dismantle and reassemble the engine . I only had to drill the crosshead connection to .125 inches  to take the new piston rod . The engine runs smoother at a slower speed and has more power. I can't wait to take it to the outdoor track for a  test run. ( I was running it on rollers inside for the intial tests .     :D    )

My thanks to Royce for his help and sending them so quickly . :)

Ray,

Our forum sponser , Quisenberry Station . Royce Brademan is the gentleman you need to talk too. Give him a call and he will set you up wiith a set . As I have said before, they make a huge difference in how the Ruby series engines run. I can now pull a train at a realistic speed and not have a " Rocket on Rails . " The last outing I pulled 8 Bachman cars and an Accucraft D&RGW short Caboose behind it. It also has the ability to self start , by rocking the reverse lever I can start the engine hands off. ( It is fitted with R/C control) It was never possible to get it moving before without a helping hand to get it going on starting out. This is on the initial startup , clearing the cylinders and such. Now a simple back and forth and it is off and running like its bigger siblings.
