The Book is Called "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen (2006)

I read this book because my wife had to read it as part of a book club she belongs to. She told me I might like it because it was about trains.

The book is about a 91 year old man in a nursing home, sorry assisted living, and through his memories it goes back and tells how he ran away and hopped a circus train. It tells about life on the circus trains and in a traveling circus. I read the book in 2 nights - all 331 pages - I couldn't put it down.

If you like to read and are interested in Circus Trains I highly recommend it.

Also please note that Suleski Transporation has never "Red lighted" any employees. Read the book if you want to know what this means. (I think we might want to investigate if some of you other owners have done any red lighting.

Enjoy

Scott,

I too have read this book and it's really good. If you read the author's notes in the back, she describes the research she did in preparing to write the book. She did a great job capturing what life was like in a traveling circus.
