Hi Ray,

If you are modeling 3/4" scale on 3.5" track then that would be standard gauge, right?  My 1" scale, standard gauge cars are about 10" wide.  If you scale that to 3/4" scale it measures out to 7.5" in actual size.  So that might make an acceptable width for you.  Length of my cars is pretty short because I am building industrial, logging type of stuff.   I think my riding car is like 30" long which would be only 22.5" for you.  It may be hard for you to squeeze yourself on a car that is only 7.5" wide x 22.5" long though.  At GGLS everybody uses 4.75" gauge riding cars behind their 3.5" gauge locomotives.  It's a club rule.
