I wanted another E-8 for Chistmas but my wife said there was no room left. Maybe I could leave it at Marty's house, he has alot of room. She said if I had the room I could have it. and it is cheap also, only $110,000.00. I will have to pant it and make a B-unit thought.

Shouldn't be too hard to use your Dremel tool to hack off the cab, but do you have access to another unit to get the blunt end from?

What's a SF 2343 want with an "E" unit?
2343's were F-5's (or so we called them).
Half F-3 chicken wire, half F-7 louvers.

I know where there is 3 more, storage will be a problem. Laying track my be a bit more difficult. Mite need some help. Then I will have to figure out what Kaydee couplers to use. No track power , no battery power, all self contained. There is an advantage.
Opps, forgot about fuel, there's a disadvantage.
Oh well, I 'll figure it out.

Gee Rex seems to me I have a pic of the same loco. Took it while in Chandler AZ while attending the National convention. Now from what I saw Marty is a bit shy for room to build the necessary track and roads to dusty to get to anyway.
This would screw up the plans on painting for the ATSF. You could go for a mud color tho.
. Later RJD
