Please explain, "Myth -Confirmed"...
Does it mean that something that was considered to be untrue (a myth) has been proven to have no basis in reality and is thus still a "Myth".
Or had it been changed from "Myth" to "Fact"?
On the Mythbusters show, they have three catagories a myth can fall into when they are done testing it:
Confirmed - the myth is true, as the myth is stated.
myth being tested: "A bullet can be shot into the empty chamber of another revolver."
Myth confirmed = yes, its true.
Plausable - not enough data to be certain..its possible, or likely, but cant prove it.
Busted - myth is NOT true as stated.
myth = "The vortex from a passing train can suck a person onto the tracks."
myth busted = after testing, the myth is not true.
