These two links should open the exact same page:

http://gold.mylargescale.com/scottychaos/

http://gold.mylargescale.com/scottychaos/index.html

but they arent!
the one that says index.html on the end is working normally..it opens my main webpage..

but the one that ends in scottychaos, without the index.html on the end, isnt opening my main page..instead its opening a directory view of that directory,
showing the list of all the files in that directory..other URL's are doing it too:

http://gold.mylargescale.com/scottychaos/owego

That should open my "Owego webpage"..not a a list of the directory..
when I click on that link, im seeing this:

which isnt what I should be seeing..
is anyone else seeing that? with my links or their own pages?

thanks,
Scot

You could try renaming your file to index.htm instead of index.html. I don't know how this server is setup, but whatever web server is running (Apache, IIS, etc) will have some sort of list of what it will recognize as a default index page, like index.html, index.htm, index.asp, index.php, etc.

I just tried the three links and each opened the respective page that you said they should. Don't know what to tell you.

C.T. is correct that Shad did say that the 'gold' sub-domain was going to go away, although as far as I know it is currently valid, but you should change any references from 'gold' to '1stclass'

That holds true for MS/IE7, FireFox, Opera, & Safari for Windows.

Mea culpa.. I was experimenting with something today.. It wasn't working out the way it was supposed to, so I turned it back off.. Sorry.

ok! thanks Shad..
and yes, seems to be back to normal now!

(should I start using 1st class rather than Gold when I post links anywhere?)

Yes.. As a rule, you should be using 1stclass.mylargescale.com for all your links.
