The display at the NRM, York is because is is the anniversary of the run of Mallard down Stoke Bank at 126mph; two of the locos have been brought over from Canada, and given a total repaint. The others are English (or Scottish). One is 'Mallard' which is not operational, but is owned by the NRM; the other three are operational and in private hands.

One of the (number 9 - Union of South Africa) was given special permission to run at 90 MPH (normal speed is up to 75 mph) which it did achieving 92 MPH.

Google has plenty of images of them, just enter LNER A4's, (here in the UK they are regularly being used on charter trains) in various colors of their long lives (with 10 year full inspections being required for all of them).
