Casey, I'm glad you got the drawings OK. Sorry I don't have more. Call or email me if you have questions. I think the German laser cut frame comes with the valve rod parts. 'They are the key to making the loco work but will take a little work to get the play out of the system. I can help you on that when you get there.

Casey, No payment needed, I'm happy to help out. Just have fun with it , that will be payment enough. I used a Roundhouse Lady Anne boiler on mine, it is a little bigger in diameter and a couple of inches shorter than I would have liked. If you can build your own that would be great. I am not bold enough to do that.

Dear Mr Wilmunder - over here we are very keen to have a look at large-scale ride-on live-steam locomotives like this, especially those of a manageable size. Do you mean Maxi-Track, BTW? Never seen anything bigger than an 0-4-2 from them over here, perhaps this is a special for the USA?

Can you post piccies please?

Roger, I have just spoken to Maxitrak about another matter - the new hand-held controller for our 1/3 scale diesel 'Harlech Castle' - and asked about the 2-6-2 loco.
I also got some kit prices, if you are interested [remember that these are in £ sterling and will need to be multiplied by a factor of 1.98]
L'il Joe loco in 2-6-2 format - £8300.00
Two-truck tender kit - £1215.00
Cow-catcher kit - £378.00
Diamond stack kit - £80.00
The reduction by 17.5% [our sales tax] pays for the shipping stateside.
It comes with a suitable headlight, but without wiring, and I guess that the other Americanisation features like a wood cab would be up to the builder to arrange as the kit version is steel.
Instead of the more usual Hackworth valve gear that we have on our 'Rolumus' [that's right, 'Rolumus' and not 'Romulus' - ours is not qwuite the same], Mr Maxitrak told me that it uses a very interesting version of the Marshall road locomotive gear, but laid down horizontally and working via a set of bell-cranks - should be a very interesting project, and all of us in the Ramsey Miniature Steam Railway Society [RMSRS] here in Cambridgeshire are looking forward to seeing Mr Wilmunder's model in due course.

Dear Mr Wilmunder - Sorry, I forgot about the tank loco version, I thought you were talking about the tender version. Apologies.
