Looking for a 2nd run accucraft 3 cylinder shay, hiesler, or climax or possibly other geared locos. Let me know what you have.

I have a three cylinder Accucraft shay for sale. What is a "2nd run" shay ? Why are showing $10,000 in your post?

Ger, there are minor differences between the 1st run - from around 2007 or so, and the 2nd run, about four years back, that the OP shows in his post. Take a look at the position of the sand and steam domes and safety valves, bell and steam generator. The finish is satin, too, and the fuel bunker is different.

I'm guessing that the OP is offering $10,000 for a geared loco of any kind, including a 'hiesler', which might well be some kind of a variant of the Heisler. At that point I'm all out of the usual geared locos, but then, being as pesky furriner what could I know?

I'm currently operating on the premise that the OP is some kind of a scammer/con artist. I'll let you make up your own mind.

I plan to bring to the Diamondhead steamup in 2023 to sell. I have no idea of the value, possibly $400.

Ger - I guess the sun has gotten to you, Sir. A typical price for a used 3-cylinder Shay is around $1500, depending on condition. Second series, nearer the original selling price of $2200...

I suspect the $10,000 is the amount he has allocated for buying live steamers. . .

Not a scammer but thanks. If I post 1000k people complain it's too low. If I post 10000k people complain it's too high.
