I lifted the long hood of a Queen Mary series Alco 2056 aka 20561, and was surprised to find it had a speaker. I’ve never heard it make sound under DC power.
Not only that, but it has a board labeled in part Massoth. I don’t have the box or instructions for it but always assumed it was a purely sound-incapable DC locomotive. Am I wrong?
Someone has done some modifications to it for sure. Just can’t quite figure out what.
