Info on Accucraft C-25 Coal fire water pump

Had the HP hose blow out on me and would like to get some more usable tubing as soon as possible. Will fuel line work for this? I know Accucraft used a thicker tubing than Aster but would like to find a ready available resource for this.

Second question: The check balls in the axle pump. What size were these? I have a 3mm ball and it looks like it fits but no info on how the pump was assembled or if this is the correct size ball. It looks like one ball is captive in the pump body while the other one sits on top of the banjo bolt. Does this make sense? I lost one of my banjo bolts so I got a replacement but want to make sure I assemble correctly.

I have used this vacuum tube from Autozone, it is slightly larger in OD so you may have a harder time getting the brass knurl fitting to thread over it. I can try a piece on my C-25 later today and let you know.

I used fuel line, but it’s a bit of a pain. The stuff I used is pretty stiff and a bit hard, so it’s tough to screw the hokie Accucraft nut on. I bought quick disconnect fittings from Jason, but haven’t done anything with them . I think I’ll have to replumb the hard line a bit to account for the length of the fittings

The vacuum line I have seems to work and doesn’t seem any stiffer than the tube that is already on my tender. I had to put a little lubricant on the hose to get the brass knurl fitting to slide nicely on the hose.
