In the old site, we had purple folders to indicate a new post to the forum or thread. What is the indication now?

That's what I thought. But you don't see that until you open the forum and see the threads.

Just a quick question about 'last new post' on any given thread.
A couple of forums I belong to have buttons at the left of the thread title that will get me directly to the last post viewed (by me) and another button somewhere on the right that will get me to the overall last post. Also, it was kind of nice to see the last post on the same page (this one) that I'm responding to. Perhaps it's all here someplace..../DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/mls/emoticons/blush.gif
All very nice though.
