Hi,

On the Garden Railways website there is a new downloadable (free) PDF plan for an (American) ice cream wagon.

This is very like their 'Rural Free Delivery wagon in style, and has the lettering included, (which will need a color printer as it is red).
It is 7 pages long.

It is also very close to the Milk wagons of the period (pre 1920)

The milk wagon looks very similar to ones that were in use in London Ontario until the mid 1950s by both the dairies and the bakers.

It is also intere4sting to note that lcl traffic from the Canadian National freight shed in London for local delivery was handled until 1939 by a drayage firm with horses and wagons. At that point, CN terminated the contract and shifted to their own trucks.

I think it is fair to say that horses and horse drawn vehicles were in use far later than most modelers imagine.

Regards ... Doug
