I just cleaned and rehabbed the boiler valves. What is an easy way to empty any remaining boiler water?

On the Baldwin the safety valves are in the very front of the cab and removing them seems to require removing the cab. Hence the question for an easier way.

On the model above both valves are up front under the cab. The cab and stairs can be removed by removing 4 small bolts.
