I don't understand why people say their trains derail on bad track...

just how bad IS your track, anyway? /DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/mls/emoticons/cry.gif /DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/mls/emoticons/cry.gif

This train stays on the rails!

The video also has a couple of great scenes with a "stub switch".

Then there is this video with a good shot of a railed steam crane in operation and the upper half of a Steam powered passenger train, but the chase scene (nearly 8 minutes) will leave you weary just watching it! Oh yeah, there is a short (very short) scene with a Steam powered freight train (don't blink, you'll miss it!).

If you want to waste another 20 minutes or so, try these three

(there is a trolly in one scene, but it mainly just a funny silent film I enjoyed as I was looking for more videos like the first one listed above).

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know it eventually comes off... I don't remember the cause, though. But Buster comments that the ride got smoother!

Actually, the Rocket type locomotive (which the fake thing in the movie resembles) didn't NEED bad track. The inclined cylinders made them waddle like a duck to start with. The original (which still exists btw) and it's bretheren were later reconfigured with more horizontal cylinders because the crews were getting seasick!
