I tried a Jensen boiler and motor and found the motor not to be very powerful. It could hardly move the gears to move the chasis. There seemed to be a lot of blow-by since the piston was loose in the cylinder.
So I kept the Jensen boiler and changed the Jensen motor to a Graham one-lung steam motor instead. Since the Graham motor had high RPM, I hooked it to a reduction gear and chain and then to propeller shaft. Unfortunately, the contraption did not make it around the medium track at Diamondhead '04.
I scrapped the project and now the frame and sides are a brass low side gondola with trucks.
