A few years ago, I built several Hobo camps for animated displays.
The one featured here was recently installed on Carl Bajema's layout.
The figures are of various manufactures (need to do some more detailing on the Hobos), lighting is created utilizing a candelabra light (great flickering effect - no LED comes close).
There is also a sound unit that simulates the background of the crackling fire and tunes from the Harps (Hobo slang for harmonic).

As noted, the detailing of the characters needs to be completed (lost several details) Hobo on the right is to playing a washtub bass, second from the left playing banjo and the one to the left holding an ax, just chopped wood for the fire and cooking of the "Beans".

Sunset approaching and it's time to "Hand Me Down That Can of Beans"

Note - No reference made to the Blair Witch Project

That's right Stan. I'll have to post more photos of Carl's layout. It now consumes all of the basement - quite a bit of the historical archieves have been organized.

As a note the canelabra light not neon, this one is electric.
