Alan,

Thanks! I had to reiterate to one of my colleauges in Sweden why we take tomorrow off!! I am planning to take my family for an outing to the local tourist railroad (the Strasburg RR) for a picnic lunch. They add a half-hour train to their regular hourly service, so while at the picnic grove, we'll get to see a train every half hour.

I hope you and the family have a great day Mark - especially seeing all those BIG trains ;)
Tomorrow I have a funeral in the morning but the afternoon will be better. The little fella next door will be six years old. So trains and a party are called for.
Maybe we can have a trip to the Colonel Sanders' place and some apple pie /DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/mls/emoticons/laugh.gif

Tomorrow the 4th I will get up before the sun and work on my layout. Putting in a mine siding. Then in the afternoon ( about 4 pm) I will go to a freinds house for BBQ. We are going to watch a movie of some sorts.

BBQ this afternoon and then watch fireworks from the backyard. The city of Burbank puts on a professional fireworks show from the Starlight Bowl Amphitheater above us, on the hill about a block away. One of the perks for living in this neighborhood! Happy Fourth of July everyone!:D

We did some yard work. Grand daughter gets to "greet the elephant" at the zoo. At noon, pizza buffet. Afternoon will be spent with the GKs at the water park. Supper at home: grilled hot dogs, BBQ beans, Apple pie. Fireworks at about 9PM.

Happy Birthday, USA. God Bless America. May Freedom Reign!

A Happy and SAFE 4th to ALL! Got all the leaves cleaned off the tracks for a run this afternoon. Wife is making a couple of key lime pies for desert, as son and daughter-in-law will be here tomorrow for a visit. We'll eat one tonight, I guarantee! We'll also watch the town fireworks from our back porch tonight. Last night, one of our neighbors had about 30 people over, and they all bought fireworks. The show went on for about 45 minutes, so we get a double dose this year!:)
