That was Bill Allen's live steam build - most impressive. I bought a 0-8-0T made from a Bachmann consoldiation that had a saddle tank, and I converted it to a 2-8-2 but most of my work was fixing it back together and making it work.

I've used coffee stirrer or ice-cream sticks as cladding or to make detail parts, to using calico as a roofing cover. You'd be surprised what people will adapt.

I've used old school friction tape to simulate roofing.
