these sound like the inserts from the garden rrailway magazine. maybe a complete set. they are available for download individually i believe on the garden railways web site for a price.
I agree that they look like the Garden Railroad magazine pull out plans, but far from a complete set. I don't see any of the 1:20.3 or the 7/8n2 stuff Ted did.

As for availability of the GR plan sets, to the best of my knowledge, they are no longer available. Garden Railways stopped selling the plans years ago and turned it over to another company, A fair time ago I tried to purchase from them, the web site was there, but no one was home.

Since Kalmbach bought GR, and folded it into Model Railroader I don't remember one LS article since. I don't subscribe, but do check the news stand when I go with my wife to chase her geneology magazines.

Several years ago I redrew some of the 1:20.3 rolling stock and the plans are posted here GR Plan Sets

I have about 75% of the original Ted Stinson drawings, just never go around to updating all of them

Beware as any of those drawings are of fantasy equipment which never existed, I still wonder why Model Railroader which was always a supplier of good to very good prototype data and drawings switched with garden railroading to whimsical railways. I dont mind a little of that, but what I do mind is that it has taken over Garden Railways magazine completly. It would be good if Garden Railway magasine started to publish some of its prototype drawings (from the model railroader collection) in 1/32 or 1/29the scale as well as the narrow gauge scales.
Mr grumby himself!

Model Railroader is still the same publication it has always been. Kalmbach has changed little to nothing of content in MR. Kalmbach PURCHASED Garden Railways magazine, rolled the content (allegedly) into MR, and shuttered Garden Railways.

The plan sets that were provided by Garden Railways were never touted to be 'scale drawings' of anything that I am aware of. They ARE good representations intended to be simple and inexpensive to build. Some are in fact representations of prototype equipment of the Ohio River and Western, Tionesta, and Maine 2 foot narrow gagues (there are multiple) to name a few. Others are generic and don't particularly represent any prototype, just provide rolling stock They were also intended to be able to run along side LGB equipment that would tolerate 4 foot diameter curves. In my updating I did find some fitment issues with the original plan set, but nothing a bit of sandpaper would not cure.

For my money, the best source for scale drawings is the Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette. The name says it all for prototypes. Model Railroader and Railroad Model Craftsman are both good sources for more modern steam and diesel prototypes.

If the plans have a copyright notice, you can sell the original, but not photocopies.
You might look at Karen's Trains, a web site specializing in full size and model train publications, to see if they will buy your plans. You can also gauge the probable sale price, using them as a bench mark.
