USA Trains 40ft boxcar. Archbar trucks and their dark metal wheels.

So it's the second car in a 13 car train. Not too bad, but it's going up a grade on a 12' diameter curve. It's made it before many times.

But this time the front inside wheel on the front truck SLIPS inward. The wheel has a plastic bushing between it and the axle, and that bushing slipped about 3/8" taking the wheel out of gauge. What the heck is going on here?

Anyway, it derailed on the next switch so I found it in time. I re-gauged it, then applied superglue to the axle, plastic bushing, wheel junction. But I'm worried this is a common problem with USA Trains trucks. Anyone see it happen before and what did you do about it? Thanks, Rob

It's rare on the ultimate series, but has happened. Your repair was what others typically do. I have a fair number of their cars, this has only happened on a couple of them.
