I have one but your need a DCC system to make it fully operational. It should run on a dc transformer but with basic running capability. I have the manual but might need some digging to find that.

Sam, You are a life saver! The Instruction booklet is a Godsend if you find it. Sorry for the grave-digging. I am tempted to try my Dallee DC unit just to see the wheels move on rollers. But is there a toggle switch hiding in the train’s latches for me to turn on. This and other tiny details can derail this delicate giant. An NCE/DCS system Power Pro was suggested to me but it appears complicated requiring a code etc. I am a wired. Collector in that I would like it to perform for ne just once. Would you be open to a phone call.? Much obliged. 973-718-1275
I have to find the manual first…i have the NCE DCC system for mine. Stay tuned…unless someone else posts first…
Sam, thanks again for your patience. Nothing more annoying than an eager beaver collector new to the genre. My comfort level are Asters. FAM and Row are my Benita with an engine each from both.
I’ll look out for more responses. Yet when you have the roll to go a call I would appreciate guidance on simple questions:
Is there an in switch for the motors under the hatches to get it started? What terminals on the NCE system are connected to the tracks? What code to use to synch the NCE system to the engine to get the full functionality? Etc. I guess the manual is the answer. But verbal over the phone can be of great help if you std up to it.

Wow! Manna from Heaven. Thank you for the effort of finding the manual. [email protected] is my email.Found the manual. I’ll see if I can scan and send to your email address on Tuesday. It should answer most of your questions. Please pm your email address.

Thank You. I certainly will. Just not too sure if how I connect that to the Fineart Class A especially with a code. I guess instructions should be simple. The NCE system is easy to find and inexpensive... look for the "PowerCab" unit, NOT the "PowerPro"..
Thank you fir the back up support. Much appreciated. Not sure what you mean by a CODE?
If it has a DCC decoder, it should be pretty easy.
If you get stuck, email me the manual and I'd be happy to confirm what you need to do.

Nothing wrong with it, but he wanted it to operate on a display track..Hey Greg,
Why not the powerpro—i think that’s what I have…more expensive probably and unnecessary for the class A I’m assuming. I bought it at a train event some years ago.
