Just a thought, in my work I use a large number of blank dvds and as a result have the containers, which hold fifty, left as rubbish. There must be some large scale use for these but I havn't figured it out yet. They would make a decent starting point for water tanks in the smaller scales but in large scale?
Any ideas?

I took this pic a few years ago of an oil storage tank in west Texas. I couldn't believe there were still any like this in use, but there it was. A couple of years later, I went by that place and the old tank was gone.

Anyway, those 100-disc containers are about the right height for one of these in 1:20.3 scale. Just laminate some stir sticks onto it, put on some water tank bands, and add some piping.

Discard not an item. Someday it will be useful for something. Catalog each and every item you save, so that when that day comes, that you have a use for it, you can reference the location of all your reference catalogs to find where the catalog is for the item you originally referenced. If at that point you remember what you were looking for that particular item to be used for, then you're a better man than I.
