I made up this dual track 8’ Howe truss bridge to continue my 18’ trestle from my basement to my raised area. I set up a big temporary loop so I could finally run some trains after 22 years of wanting to. Ive been thinking the name of my railroad will be the LT&C RR (long time n’ coming).
The bridge is constructed out of red cedar from plans I bought off of eBay. Track is hand laid Aristo SS With threaded rods and waterproof glue holding it all together. I still have to make the abutments to hold up the ends. The rail ends have split jaw removable bridge clamps so I can pull the bridge for landscaping maintenance. I dump my mulch over the wall from my front yard in this area so the bridge has to be removable. I’m working up some videos of a few consists running on the loop.
