After not finding much online regarding plans to build a carrying case, I decided to design and build my own. I didn't have an easy way to move my locomotives and my Mogul always needed to be separated from its tender, which I wanted to avoid as well.

Routed flange ways in the base:

Full height sides with carrying handles:

Permanent back stop:

T-Nut for removable front block and removable foam inserts:

Two more carriers for my other two locomotives:

I then needed to come up with a ramp. This took some doing and I am not 100% on the design but we will see how it works (flange ways on the top and on the bottom are groves to center it on the track):

Simplicity is the secret to a good case. Those will keep the Engines well protected in transport as well.
My ramp is dual purpose, It serves as the ramp, and as the front stop. it is simply hinged and has a pin that holds it up when closed.
To better engage with the track, I took a cheap stainless ruler(s) from Harbor freight and screwed it to the ramp as a flexible extension of the flangeway to meet the track.
