Is it normal for a Bachmann Connie to slow down a little on a 20 foot diameter curve? (ie: require more throttle to maintain speed)

I run my Connie on airwire and it does this as well, it's nuttin big. The old airwire system (which I assume you have) doesn't have back EMF so the system doesn't compensate when there is any additional drag on the loco. The new airwire card just released has a "cruise control" option which should cure that problem.
