Limited club gatherings now being permitted so our club is holding meets where ten people at a time can run trains and stay 6 feet apart with limited contact.
This has been a welcome event after many months of isolation. This track has been set up in a horse riding stable for the entire month of
July so that all club members in maximum groups of ten, can take part in booking a day and time to run trains.
I managed to get to one of the events and get some video.
I hope that you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed making it.
Stay healthy and safe. Peter.

deltatrains,
Nice idea, and thank you for sharing.

Several members of our S Gauge club are really missing the train show circuit.

I have shared your video, maybe we can figure something like this out.

Peter,

Very nice video. Nice track.

Those young engineers know how to run a train.

Thank you for showing.

Thank you Gerald.
Of the two young boys running the live steam locomotives, one also runs 7 1/2 gauge locomotives
and coaches with passengers. Both have been in the hobby for quite some time and thanks to
their parents for helping them in this wonderful hobby.

Looks great. Our local live steam G scale group has gotten together a couple times this year. Mostly just the local guys. Normally we get folks from a couple states around us, but not this year. Thankfully several of us have home railways, so short notice/impromptu run sessions happen here and there. Stay safe everybody! Mike

Well, it seems that the rules for protests are more lax, at least from watching TV.

So, invite your friends for a "Train Protest", and you can forgo masks and the social distancing.

I don't think so. Your TV guys are only showing the protesters who are misbehaving - that's news. My understanding is that there are lots of peaceful protests with everyone wearing a mask, which is not news in this partisan environment.

And now back to our regularly scheduled program. From my 6 months of "social distancing", it seems that just wearing a mask is adequate protection while running trains.

CDC guidelines are that the mask is required when you can't avoid being closer than 6 ft. Our railroads are big enough to make it easy to keep 6 ft away. And they recently said that masks are better than a vaccine - so wear your mask and run some trains with your friends.

Train Running while Isolation and Social distancing.

Hi everyone who took a few moments to write their thoughts on this thread.
I hope that everyone is still healthy and families are doing well.
Over the past few months I have tried to make as many videos as
possible either in my own back yard ( Deltatrains ) or at some of
our GREATER VANCOUVER GARDEN RAILWAY CLUB layout
and at some friend's own layouts while staying a safe distance apart
and I was hoping that others would try to post as many videos as
possible to keep the hobby going strong and entertain those who
could not run their trains.
So, with that thought, here is my You Tube channel and all of the videos
that I have been making over the last six months. ( plus )
https://www.youtube.com/user/deltatrains/featured
You may have to copy and paste the address into your search line, then click "VIDEOS"
Take some time to enjoy some live steam, electric and battery operation
of garden trains.
All the best in good health,
Peter.
