Is there any away to bring back an "indicator" to show who is in chat before you log on to chat?

I'm not trying to avoid anyone, Joe.!!!/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/teeth_smile.gif  Sometimes I will be on and Jim will ask who is in chat.  It's just nice knowing.

In the old chat room, you could look up who you alking to by clicking on their name and  where they were located.  How do you do that now or is that gone?
