aristo's steel caboose thats been available for years...is there a pro-type in 1 to 1 scale

FWIW, I believe I "heard" once many years ago that they were modeled from one of Sante Fe's
cabs, but I've never tried to verify it... I just cut 'em up and turn them into NE style cabs as best

I would never have thought the Aristo steel caboose was based off of a Santa Fe prototype.

But looking at the Aristo model more closely, I could kind of see why someone would think it was based on the typical Santa Fe style caboose (pre-1960s rebuild program). However the Arsito model is heavily compressed lengthwise.
