Hello to everyone, glad I found you. To start off I have a question. I bought an Aristocraft 5401 controller, is that all I need to run one train. I have seen threads that talk about having a 5460 hook-up with the 5401. Is that necessary to run a train. G scale of course. Thank you for your help.

This unit needs 16 volts DC input and has 5 amps out. OK for steam and slow diesel, not enough DC power for fast steam or diesel (Acela, Genesis) engines.
