The annual gathering of PLS gauge one members serves us well: 1) to get rid of the excess calories from the holiday dinner, 2) to forget our "better half" is spending all of our train monies, 3) like the polar bear club going for the dip into the cold ocean and most of all have some last minute memories of steaming during the long winter months without steam to stimulate the senses.

Many locomotives performed well enduring the weather of a stiff wind and cool temperature:



Others had a few tweaks in order to ensure a train getting from point A to B




It was good to have Jeff with us; we all help that Becky is doing well




Mike had a great run with his recently completed Aster S2 built up from kit:

The day included our post holiday lunch and "movie" in the club house. Around the table we laid the plans for Cabin Fever steam up in January the beginning of the 2009 steaming season.
