As ive posted before im new to this live steam hobby, but have come across many articles containing Alan redeker's custom c-16. Unfortunatley i havent read anything that describes what he has done to it and how well it performs. so i was wondering if Alan or anyone it may concern share some information about it. im a big fan of the baldwin c-16s-c-19s and im considering purchasing the new DSP&P #191, especially since it has the tender pump ;)

My brother and I both have an accucraft C16. For us it has been an excellent locomotive. Most reliable and easy to run. I have many hundreds of hours on mine and it is still chugging along. The c19's are new so the there is not too much info on them except there is a nice review in this months Steam In The Garden magazine.

Dear CaseyJones,

I'm running around a bit this weekend with trains and grandchildren, but will get some links to posts from the archives to you Monday. The C-16 is a great performer and a good place to start for various mods to match specific prototypes.

Here's a link to SPC #13 at a recent run at the Jersey shore

Dear CaseyJones,

Here are some links to the work done over the last couple of years to an Accucraft RGS #9. Jon Kling and Royce Brademan did most of the original work, but since the posts were in the archives the pictures are no longer available. I have included my later posts that still have a few pictures.

Best regards,
Alan
