Just got in a full set of USA BB driver & axle assemblies for a project I'm
doing that requires 68-69 boxpok wheels, BTW these things R beautiful, I notice
that the SS tires R insulated from the wheel body on both sides... My ? is
what scheme does USA use for power pick-up on these things ?? Is all power
pickup thru the pony trucks & tender wheels, maybe a brush arrangement on the
backside of the driver flanges or what ?? Just curious...

BB has brushes draging on back side of all drivers.

Tnx for the info Marty, after unpacking all 8 axles I found another
curiosity that maybe U can enlighten us on.. 4 of the eight axles
have sound trigger magnets, (4 ea in a little cage) ??? One set does
the sound system obviously, what do the other 3 sets do ???

you mean you can buy just the drive blocks?

I'm sure 1 of those magnet cages is for the sound chuff, but what do the
other 3 sets of them do ?? Guess we'll find out eventually, I'm not going
to be using them anyway... Just curious about it, thats all..Don't know what
configurations U can buy this stuff in Marty, I bought just the wheel-axle
assemblies, an I'll be using only the wheels, figured complete motor block
assemblies would be expensive beyond belief... Will be using boxpok wheels
on Aristo gearboxes after sleeving and machining to fit... FWIW to anyone,
it wouldn't surprise me if some of these wheels on these BBs start to come
loose after awhile, I expected it to take a little effort to press these
axles out of these wheels, but just a couple of light taps with a punch
and mallet was all it took, the sleeves I'm installing R far tighter than
the original axles... Time will tell on that...
