Came a great shame. The man who almost single handedly gave us the foundations for the modern world died alone, in near poverty, in a small hotel room in New York. /DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/mls/emoticons/sad.gif

The story of how others have continually to tried to diminish his legacy by ignoring his achievements for personal reasons and/or monetary gain is an even bigger disgrace. /DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/mls/emoticons/crazy.gif

Tesla was a modern day wizard. He was against Edisons patented direct current system since he recocnized its short comings, that got on Edisons bad side as he was heavily invested in his own DC power company, and Edison was out to destroy him, even though Tesla's alternating current was eventually proven superior and Edisons patented DC system ended up on the scrap heap of history.
