Tesla was a modern day wizard. He was against Edisons patented direct current system since he recocnized its short comings, that got on Edisons bad side as he was heavily invested in his own DC power company, and Edison was out to destroy him, even though Tesla's alternating current was eventually proven superior and Edisons patented DC system ended up on the scrap heap of history.

Since I live in the shadow of Niagara Falls Tesla's name and legacy is well known. Wander around the Power generating stations in the area and they all speak of Tesla.
