I was CHANNEL SURFING....no surprise....and A.S. was the best on.
By chance would have it, I saw that segment....

I don't think lighter fluid would have been a problem. If it were mine I would first do a hydrostatic pressure test of the boiler and if it passed, then I'd test/repair the pressure releif valve and if it worked I'd try running it on air and repair if necessary. Once it could run on air, it would be steaming around my track!
