Alright Stan! Looking very, very cool! Now you've got to figure out what's gonna be in the trailer...that you can make out of Styrofoam! Congrats! Can't wait to see 'em painted up! Chris

Sandro.... RE: barcode on trailer... The builders goofed and applied it on the inside rather than the outside...... So now it goes back in the shop to be redone... And repainted....
Chris... Load in the trailer will probably be pieces of balsa made to look like ties..... Also thought about getting some tools from Ozark Miniatures for a load. Any other suggestions????

Hey, I wanna see the headlight working. How can you find the beer if its dark, without one? Neat little trick you have there Stan. Maybe you can put a beer keg in the trailer, then we will all come running!! Bob Martin

Bob..... Headlight will be working as well as a blinking red LED on the back of the trailer.....
Ron.... Just changed the trailer configuration.... If I put a barrel on, it would fall off.

The Stompers' conversion been in the shop all day getting painted, adding controls and padded leather seat for the driver, a cow catcher, working headlight, flashing LED on the trailer and loads for both.....
Static image on the bench.....

The we took it out on the main line for a test..... Stuck a fresh NiMH AA battery in and started it running on the same track as the RS-3.... The speed of the Stomper is just a tad faster than the RS-3 with a 12 volt gel cell and pulling a 9 car consist...
For most of the afternoon, I let them "chase" each other and had to stop the Stomper occasionally as it caught up to the RS-3 consist... Running time with the fresh NiMH AA is over an hour and closer to an hour and a half......
Her she is on the mainline....

Really nice Stan ! I did one little stomper project last year, and can't wait to do another. Just to many other things going on at the moment. Really like the trailer idea.
I have been looking for a model T body that would fit a stomper, but I think I'm going to give up on that and just follow your lead - scratch build something.

Mark, thanks for the kind words... Runnin' a RR takes much imagination and time.....
We all have different strengths that we are able to share here on MLS which makes model railroading much more fun....
Sandro, we needs remember thet there were none of there contraptions called 'puters back in the era of the this here RR.... So... Barcodes gone....

Stan; Fun, Fun, FUN! I love it! This is exactly the kind of item that gets real attraction at train shows. Little kids especially get such a kick out of little stuff running 'round the track...not like me, no, no. Super Stan, you've done it again! Chris I'll check back later for pics of the Porter, he he.
