About Me
Born and raised in Germany and immigrated in 1990 to the US. At a sweet age of 6 I had a Maerklin tabletop railroad I could spend hours and hours with - absolutely fantastic. I got hooked on the RhB also at 6. Next to Pontresina station was a building 100 yards (split in half for a total of 200 yards) long and on inside was a model layout of the RhB line running from Samedan to Tirano. All done in self build 1:64 models (Scale is called Sm which is S-scale but because of narrow guage prototype it ran on HO track). There was no manufacturer at the time that made any RhB models.
So when I received an LGB starterset I found LGB's offers of RhB rolling stock and I was instantly hooked. Then when building my own layout I found many good products, such as EasyBend DuoTrak, that were not avaiulable here in the US and started offering them for my fellow hobbyists.

How did you rule out that it is not the QSI?
And does the QSi have three different heat settings? Under full load you should "fireUp" the heating element more (not the fan).
Also does the QSi have an electric break? If you do not break the fan motor, then the chuff effe......

Good DCC/Sound combo boards, delay the motor operation (Controlled DC mode). THe advantage is that you can get sound before the engine starts moving. If you use any sound only board, thesound will not be synchronous to the engine bahavior.
Secondly, If you ever visit a DCC layou......

The smoke heater is tied to the REAR cab light, not the FRONT cab light.... both it and the fan outputs are in a group that is controlled by F12... Are you kidding me?? Sounds to me like someone is trying to solve a problem with function mapping o......

15, 22, 30, 45 degree crossing are much more material and more work, hence the prices are higher. If you can't go down to R4 for rolling stock reasons, then R7 is your best bet, the double slip switches are a more expensive then two R7....
